indie rock four-piece TIOGA pull inspiration from the killers’ “runaways” + interpol’s “all the rage back home” for the video for “break me in”
TIOGA are an indie rock, synth-heavy band from philadelphia, and their latest release, “break me in,” is, in my opinion, one of the greatest examples of their particular flavor of indie pop in their discography.
using alternating close-ups of each member of the band as they perform the track in earnest, the music video for “break me in” is simplistic, elegant, and emotional. influenced by the killers and interpol - who had drawn inspiration from the soft sillhouettes and blues and purples that we recognize as the signature style of the eighties - the video was directed and edited by Ryan Sloan of New Jersey indie-alternative band WYLAND.
TIOGA can be found on twitter, facebook, instagram, bandcamp, soundcloud, and on their website, as well.
