REVIEW: "Tomorrow," the latest single from Paris Youth Foundation

Another break-up banger dances into view with tears trailing close behind as heart-on-sleeve anthemists Paris Youth Foundation release "Tomorrow," a soundtrack to lost Saturday nights gripped by the strange euphoria of heartbreak.

The latest act in frontman and songwriter Kevin Potter’s truth-telling pop opera of broken hearts, missed cues and mixed messages goes big with incisive, choppy guitar lines and an arena-ready, wall-to-wall chorus.

Strange tonic in an age when nobody can hit the town to recover from romantic misadventure, the Liverpool five-piece remind listeners of the lives they lived before the global pandemic hit and what’s waiting for young lovers in the not-too-distant future. Before the doors open again on venues, bars and clubs, and the merry-go-round of dating, break-ups and make-ups begins once more, Paris Youth Foundation give Tomorrow to the world as a reminder to anyone lost in love that the bright lights and neat drinks of night out only ever delay the inevitable.

Having worked with Blossoms and Courteeners producer Rich Turvey at the legendary Parr Street Studios, Liverpool on a clutch of prime cuts of guitar pop, each written for the heat of those much-missed festival main stages, "Tomorrow" follows January’s release of "The Back Seat" into a New Year, which has seen Paris Youth Foundation’s potential bubbling to even greater prominence.

In a world without new music from field-specialists Catfish and The Bottlemen, The 1975 and Sam Fender, Paris Youth Foundation are only too pleased to fill.

Paris Youth Foundation have announced their first live date for 2021, set to perform at Sonic Wave in Birmingham on Sat 11 December 2021, alongside Vistas, The Sherlocks, Yonaka and more.

“Tomorrow” can be streamed on Spotify and Apple Music.
