After a summer packed with a stop at almost every major festival, Flipturn made a stop in Boston this weekend on their highly anticipated Shadowglow tour with support from The Brazen Youth.
Everything about Flipturn’s live performance exudes joy. Members Dillon Basse (lead vocals), Tristan Duncan (lead guitar), and Madeline Jarman (bass), jumped, kicked, and danced across the stage throughout the set with backing support from both Mitch Fountain (keys) and Devon VonBalson (drums). The set itself was packed with their best, with hits like “Chicago”, “Vanilla”, and “August” sprinkled in alongside tracks from their newest album, Shadowglow.
“Sold out” feels like an understatement for the size of the crowd that was gathered to see Flipturn’s set, and I have no doubt they’ll be making a big venue leap next time they make their way back to New England.
